The Ink Pots are a series of eight small mineral spring pools in Alberta that differ in colour due to each pool being filled at a different rate. The milky-green pools fill slower and have a heavier suspension of fine materials than the clear, deep blue pools. Each visitor to the Ink Pots will see the magic of these pools, as though a giant might reach down to fill his quill pen with the beautiful array of inks. They can be explained by science but only experienced with magic.
The deep blue and green rings within this painting blend together to create a deep aqua colour in the centre of an infinity ring, which gives the illusion of a deep percolating mineral spring.
This original, handmade painting consists of deep blues, green and gold alcohol ink on yupo synthetic paper. A clear protective coating and UV protection has been applied.
The artwork dimensions are 9 inches by 12 inches without matting. This painting will come in 11"x14" matting.
